Is it just me, or does anyone else get bothered by the fact that some clothing companies and retail stores are beginning to print crosses on their clothes and other merchandise? Fashion tops, necklaces, rings… you name it, often printed alongside a saying similar to “I Believe” as well as crucifixes decked out with rhinestones. All for the low price of $22.90.
Really?
I’m not the most religiously devout person in this world, but even this bothers me. Believe what you believe, but I don’t think that you have to prove it or exhibit it via fashion bravado… especially if you’re using your religion as an accessory.
I want to laugh every time I see a “fashion” cross hanging around a girl’s neck. I always wonder, How does He feel? I mean, He died on that cross… and here you are, wearing a sequined design of it on your shirt and studding it with rhinestones.
